About Us

Welcome to BasicMoneyTalk! I believe everyone should have the financial tools they need to succeed. Allow me to prove this by sharing knowledge in a simple organized site. I’ve spent significant time the past 15 years reading books, articles, and blogs while pursuing my interest in finances and real estate.  I was also a landlord for 10 years.  I am here to share, listen, help, and learn.

It amazes me that we don’t focus on financial literacy in our schools.  Also,  maybe 5% of all the information out there is all you need to know.  We are drowned in unnecessary details, fear tactics, abstract terms, and disguised salesmen.

Ready to get on track and not sure where to start? The Learn section is organized so you don’t get overwhelmed.  The explanations and blog posts are brief and friendly.
